About Us

In a sunlit study on the outskirts of Shanghai, a Golden Retriever named Luna curls up on the carpet. Its bandana, embroidered with a tiny sun, shimmers softly in the afternoon light. This is the third "custom gear" made for Luna by founder Sophie, and this loving little detail marks the very start of great4pets.

Sophie and Luna’s meeting was a mutual healing journey. Five years ago, Sophie—fresh off a career low—met the timid Luna at an animal shelter. Back then, Luna was so skinny that its bones showed, with matted fur clinging to its body. To help Luna regain confidence, Sophie tried buying clothes and accessories for it, only to find it hard to locate products that were both safe, comfortable and able to showcase a pet’s unique personality. "If I can’t find them, I’ll make them myself," she thought. This idea took root in her heart like a seed and slowly grew.

Driven by her love for Luna and her commitment to "let every pet have high-quality companion gear," Sophie invited three like-minded partners—senior pet behaviorist Mark, luxury leather goods designer Emma, and cross-border supply chain expert Jason—to co-found great4pets. "Great for pets, even greater for the bond between pets and owners" became the team’s shared brand philosophy. They hope every product can serve as an emotional link connecting pets and their owners.

To create truly "high-end and thoughtful" pet products, the great4pets team put in far more effort than most. During the initial product design phase, they studied the body structures and activity habits of different pet breeds: for example, when designing clothes for brachycephalic dogs (short-nosed dogs), they widened the necklines to avoid breathing restrictions; when making leashes for energetic small and medium-sized dogs, they added anti-slip patterns and cushioning to the handles to reduce hand strain for owners when pulling. Emma’s design team perfectly blends "fashion and practicality"—the pet down jackets for autumn and winter use windproof fabrics from the same supplier as high-end outdoor brands, filled with traceable white duck down, ensuring warmth and lightness; the summer harnesses use cool ice silk material, paired with an ergonomic stress design, allowing pets to run without restraint. When it comes to quality control, great4pets has strict standards. Every batch of raw materials undergoes three tests: fabric colorfastness, thread tensile strength, and rust resistance of metal parts—none are skipped. "We don’t just sell pet products; we sell peace of mind for pet owners," Sophie once said, and this became a shared belief among the entire team.

Today, great4pets’ cross-border independent website has spread this love to over 20 countries worldwide. In New York, an owner shared photos of their cat in a plaid trench coat matching their own; in Tokyo, a blogger posted daily walks with their dog on a cherry blossom-pink leash; in Sydney, staff at an animal shelter dress stray dogs in great4pets sweaters to help them find new homes faster. Behind every order is a warm story; every product carries the original aspiration of "making the companionship between pets and owners more beautiful."

Looking ahead, great4pets will continue to explore more possibilities—maybe launching customizable pet accessories, or developing smarter leash gear. No matter what, the belief of "taking love as the core and quality as the foundation" will never change. Because they know, every pet is a little angel in their owner’s life, and great4pets’ mission is to weave the warmest protection for this precious companionship.
